As a way to honor Dean Emeritus Deryl Dantzler's enormous contributions to the National Criminal Defense College as its founding dean and driving force since 1985 and before, the Deryl Dantzler Scholarship Fund was created at the time of her retirement from the College under the leadership of Former Dean Laura Hogue. The fund is used to grant scholarships to outstanding applicants to the NCDC Trial Practice Institute who cannot afford to attend without support.
NCDC Faculty Members have and continue to contribute to this fund at all levels. Support in any amount is appreciated. Many faculty members commit to an annual donation of $100 to $300. Others prefer to donate in an amount that would support a full or partial scholarship. Tuition for the NCDC Trial Practice Institute is $2500.00. Accommodations costs are approximately $775. A donation in the amount of $3275 will support a full tuition and accommodations inclusive scholarship. A donation of $2500 would cover a full tuition scholarship. A donation of $1250 would support a half-tuition scholarship.
